Basic Life Saver (BLS) Provider Courses
Heartsaver CPR / AED Provider
The Heartsaver AED course teaches the lifesaving skills of 1-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and relief of choking in adults (with an option to include child and infants) along with barrier device/pocket mask use, and automated external defibrillator (AED) training. Participants learn to recognize and treat emergencies such as cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, and choking. This course is open to the general public and first responders who want to respond to a cardiac emergency.

Heartsaver CPR / AED Provider (C)
The Heartsaver AED (C) course teaches the lifesaving skills of 1-rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and relief of choking in adults (with an option to include child and infants) along with barrier device/pocket mask use, and automated external defibrillator (AED) training. Participants learn to recognize and treat emergencies such as cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, and choking. A written exam is mandatory. This course is open to the general public and first responders who require a credentialed course.

BLS for Healthcare Provider (C)
The BLS for Healthcare Provider (C) course skills taught are 1- and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking, automated external defibrillator (AED) training and the use of bag valve mask (BVM). The course is designed for healthcare providers who need a credentialed course and is also open to first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

BLS for Healthcare Provider (C) Renewal
The BLS Healthcare Provider (C) Renewal course is offered to those who wish to update their knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). You must have successfully completed the Healthcare Provider (C) course within the past 12 months. The skills re-evaluated are 1- and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant CPR, choking, including the use of barrier device/pocket mask use, bag valve mask (BVM), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

First Aid Training Courses (WSIB Approved)
Standard First Aid CPR and AED
Level C
Contains up-to-date
content and science from the 2015 Guidelines for First Aid, CPR and ECC. In
this course, you will learn the essential skills of patient care to protect and
support the life of a suddenly ill or injured person until emergency medical services
arrive. Instruction will cover first aid skills such as those that help in the
control of bleeding, shock management, stabilizing fractures and dislocations.

Standard First Aid BLS - Healthcare
Provider (C)
Encompasses the full content of the
Standard First Aid course and the additional course content of the HSF Basic
Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (C) program. The addition of the BLS
for Healthcare Provider (C) class is designed to teach a variety of health-care
professionals how to recognize a number of life-threatening emergencies, how to
provide CPR, how to use an AED and how to relieve choking in a safe, timely and
effective manner. Target Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals
who must know how to perform First Aid and CPR, in a range of in-hospital and
out-of-hospital settings
